A Culinary Concoction

French food has always been some of my favorite and for the past few days I’ve had an idea lurking in the back of my mind. Throw together one whole circle of brie, six gloves of garlic, an egg, onion, butter, potatoes, salt, pepper, red wine, and pastry, and this is what I turned up with. Unfortunately, I forgot to add to the brie (which I divided into circular thirds to aid in distributing flavor) a layer of our French seasonings which included lavender and thyme; I’ll have to remember to try that next time. A dish such as this—cheese in pastry—would normally serve as an appetizer…in very small portions of course because this stuff, although tasty, is highly calorific.
