On the eve of America’s next presidential election, I was glancing over the websites of various candidates and was struck by this quote from Alan Keyes, Independent, which was prominently placed on the main page.
“Do our duty, and I believe we can leave the rest most confidently in God’s Almighty Hand. And in so doing, we will find ourselves walking along the same path of hope to that future which America promises — not only to our children, but to the children of all mankind; not only to our country, but, as Lincoln said, to all the earth.” (emphasis mine)
Wow…it’s definitely encouraging to see that some people in our government are still unafraid to be blatant Christians.
John Quincy Adams said this, “Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.”
