The Younger Me
The past couple days our family has been happy to have our Grandma visit from California. We’ve been having a lot of fun with her and especially enjoy her stories both from her own childhood, our mother’s, and a few things about us which we don’t even remember.
Last night after dinner Dad and Mom decided to serve some ice-cream as dessert. When I declined it Grandma reminisced, “I remember when Lydia was four years old and I had come to visit you. We were walking down the store aisles and she was pointing at this and that and saying ‘Don’t eat that! That’s SUGAR!’ to the other customers.”
Ha ha! At least I’m a little more restrained now then I used to be although any food product is still subject to my loathing which contains preservatives, artificials, genetically-engineered nonsense and, of course, sugar
